Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to website owners.

2. How We Use Cookies

We use cookies to: maintain your session when you’re logged in; and remember your cookie consent preferences. Our analytics is cookieless (see section 4) and sets no cookies.

3. Essential Cookies

These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off.

Name Purpose Duration
safeplay-cookie-consent Stores your cookie consent preference 1 year
safeplay_session Maintains your logged-in session Session

4. Analytics

We use Matomo Analytics, self-hosted by us, to understand how visitors use our website. Matomo runs in cookieless mode: it sets no cookies, stores no cross-session identifiers, and no data is shared with third-party advertising or analytics companies. Because no cookies or personal identifiers are used, this measurement does not require your consent under UK privacy law.

5. Managing Cookies

You can manage your cookie preferences by: clicking ‘Decline’ on our cookie consent banner; adjusting your browser settings to block or delete cookies; or using browser extensions that manage cookie consent. Note that blocking essential cookies may affect the functionality of our website.

6. Third-Party Cookies

We do not allow third-party advertising cookies on our website, and our analytics (Matomo, self-hosted, cookieless) sets no cookies at all. Payment pages hosted by Stripe are covered in section 7.

7. Payments

When you subscribe, we send you to a payment page hosted by Stripe at checkout.stripe.com. Stripe sets its own cookies on its own domain, which it uses to run the payment page and to detect fraud. We do not set or read those cookies and they are not available to us. See Stripe’s cookie policy.

The same applies if you manage your subscription through the Stripe billing portal.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this cookie policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated ‘last updated’ date.

9. Contact

If you have questions about our use of cookies, contact us at: privacy@safeplayhq.com or write to: Hotline Labs Ltd, Enterprise Centre, Tonypandy Enterprise Park, Llwynypia Road, Tonypandy, Wales CF40 2ET.
